The TWINT Giving Portal is integrated directly as a partner feature in the TWINT app – with over 5 million active users, Switzerland’s most popular payment app. It offers a simple, secure, and efficient way to collect donations.
With a profile on the TWINT Giving Portal, you benefit from
- Year-round visibility: Your profile is online all year and searchable by donors in up to three thematic categories.
- Access to new donors: Use TWINT’s reach to attract new supporters for your organisation.
- Modern donation experience: Donating is easy and secure – and supporters can track their giving in the app.
- More relevant visibility through personalisation: Your organisation and campaigns are shown to users for whom they are most relevant – even on a regional level within Switzerland.
How to Create Your Organisation Profile
To list your organisation on the portal, you must meet the eligibility criteria. If you haven’t been in touch with Weunity yet, reach out via support@weunity.com to start the onboarding process.
Once initiated, you’ll receive a form where you’ll need to provide:
- Organisation name
- Website link
- RaiseNow PayLink for your donation form (only “TWINT Donate” touchpoint solutions are compatible – see here for how to create one)
- Background image (min. 2072 x 1512 px)
- Headline (max. 40 characters)
- Short description (max. 500 characters)
- Logo
Image Selection – First Impressions Count
The background image is the first thing potential donors see on your profile. Choose a photo that clearly represents your mission and impact.
Tips for preparing your image:
- Image choice: High-quality, meaningful, respectful, and legal content that reflects your values and purpose.
- Size: Minimum 2072 x 1512 pixels
- Central placement: Key elements should be in the centre, due to a slight zoom effect on the platform.
- Margins: Keep safe space around edges to avoid cropping.
Description – Convince in a Few Words
The headline and description help inspire donors at a glance. Keep in mind:
- Clear and concise: Headline should be memorable and under 40 characters.
- Show your mission and impact: Use the 500-character limit to explain why your work matters.
- Use inclusive, accessible language: Avoid jargon, use direct address ("you"), and be personal.
- Include a call to action: Explain why support is needed now.
- Multilingual Content: For nationwide visibility, your texts must be provided in German, French, Italian, and English. Regional organisations are only required to use their canton’s language, but we recommend using all four to reach more donors.
Recurring Donations – Ensure Sustainable Support
With your organisation profile, you can acquire recurring donors year-round – a key source of long-term impact. Up to 50% of all recurring donations on the TWINT Giving Portal are completed directly via profiles.
